Mission Update: The Handasyde Family (22 Sep 2019)

The Handasyde family are currently preparing to live in Ukarumpa, Papua New Guinea, in order to use their skills to support the work of Bible translation. Together Robert and Loralie are passionate about the task of bringing the Good News of Jesus Christ to all people in a way they can understand. Papua New Guinea has over 800 spoken languages and more than half of these have no Scripture translated.

Robert is a helicopter pilot who will be involved in flying translators, equipment, supplies, and medical aid. Loralie is an optometrist and hopes to use these skills within the community, as well as looking after their daughter Emily and son Michael.

Robert and Loralie are committed to being part of the team helping to complete the global Bible translation task. You can be a part of this team as you partner with them in prayer, financial support and encouragement.

“Declare his glory among the nations, his marvellous deeds among all the peoples.” Psalm 96:3
