Missions Update: September 2017

See below for the September update from our missions partners, sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ near and far.

Dave & Anna Fowler

University of the Sunshine Coast (Australian Fellowship of Evangelical Students)

Praise God for the numbers of students dropping into the bible study groups, and for how becoming a club has opened new doors for Christ on campus.

Pray that non-Christians coming along to the group would hear a clear presentation of the Gospel. Pray for wisdom in how to publicize the group, and for creative ways of changing the culture at uni to “making friends and making Jesus known”.

Karen & Karen Hopping

Solomon Islands (Wycliffe)

Continue to pray for Karen with her teaching and for her students, that the literacy skills learned will change lives and that the Bible will change hearts! Pray that God will meet all her needs.

Richards Family

Enefa Ministry Training Centre in Vanuatu

Tom has been appointed as “Curriculum Developer” for the Certificate in Theology course by the Assembly of the Presbyterian Church in Vanuatu.

Give thanks to God for this is what they have been hoping and praying for. Praise God for the interest already in the new curriculum, with some staff at two high schools also wanting to teach the material as part of their RE program!

Pray that God continues to guide Tom in creating theologically sound curriculum, specific to the Vanuatu context.

Marshall Family

Christian Academy of Japan, Tokyo (OMF)

David’s new job is to help teachers keep the curriculum moving forward with the goal of helping students grow.

Pray for everyone at CAJ as the new school year begins, and especially for David with his new responsibilities. Pray for Wendy for wisdom in juggling new editorial roles.

Praise God for the rest they have been able to enjoy over the last month. Praise also that Callum (their eldest) has found accommodation with a family in Brisbane for when he begins university next year.

Regards,

GO Team
