Prayer Focus: ‘Brothers and Sisters in Christ in Victoria’ (13 Sep 2020)

Each week we focus our worship service and Grace Community Group prayers on a topic or theme. This week, our prayer focus is for brothers and sisters in Christ in Victoria.

‘To this end we always pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of his calling and may fulfill every resolve for good and every work of faith by his power,’ (2 Thessalonians 1:11 ESV)

  1. For those who have faith in Christ to have their faith refined under pressure, to trust Jesus more, love one-another more, find more comfort and hope in the gospel, and look forward more to Christ’s return
  2. For the Lord to keep churches from from disunity, callousness, apathy, judgmentalism and division, and to give church leaders patience endurance
  3. For the gospel, in word and deed, to be a powerful and fruitful witness to a society experiencing the stark realities of human suffering and death

Each week, we also pray through one of the core commitments from our church vision statement. This week’s commitment is to engaging ordinary people with the gospel.

By grace, we are committed to declare to the world that Jesus Christ is Lord through engaging ordinary people outside the church with the person and claims of Jesus Christ.

(Matthew 24:14, 1 Corinthians 9:22, 1 Peter 3:15)

Please pray that we would be concerned for everyone we meet to hear the gospel.
