Each week we focus our church family prayers on a topic or theme. This week, our prayer focus is for our nominated elders.

‘The saying is trustworthy: If anyone aspires to the office of overseer, he desires a noble task.’ (1 Timothy 3:1 ESV)

• Thank the Lord for the men who have been nominated – for Scott, Rob and Ben – and for they way they already serve our church family
• Pray that they would grow in grace and godliness, and their love for Jesus and his people
• Pray for wisdom for the Session as they consider the suitability of these men to help oversee the ministry of the gospel among our church family.

Core Commitment 

Each week, we also pray through one of our church’s core commitments. This week’s core commitment is to local and international gospel mission.

‘By grace, we are committed to declare to the world that Jesus Christ is Lord through supporting and encouraging local and international mission work.’ (see Acts 1:8, Romans 1:11-13)

Thank God for our mission partners, and pray that we would take every opportunity to encourage and resource the spread of the gospel both locally and further afield.
