Each week we focus our church family prayers on a topic or theme. This week, our prayer focus is for Christians in the workforce.

‘Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.’ (Colossians 3:23–24 ESV)

• Thank the Lord for men and women who serve Jesus and live for him in offices, classrooms, wards, shops, building sites and all other places of work
• Pray that we would have courage and confidence to honour Jesus in the way we work, and in the way we relate to our colleagues and workmates
• Pray for wisdom and love for our colleagues and workmates, to show and and share the hope we have in the Lord Jesus Christ .

Core Commitment 

Each week, we also pray through one of our church’s core commitments. This week’s core commitment is to clearly present the Lord Jesus Christ from the Bible.

‘By grace, we are committed to learn about Jesus through clearly and understably presenting the Lord Jesus Christ as the fulfilment of all Scripture and the only sacrifice for our sin .’ (see Luke 24:44-48)
