Each week we focus our church family prayers on a topic or theme. This week, our prayer focus is for fathers.

‘Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?’ (Matthew 6:26 ESV)

• Thank the Lord for the fathers and father figures who have blessed and cared for us, and especially for those who have pointed us to Jesus. 
• Thank the Lord that, even where fathers have failed us or been absent, he remains a perfect father to us.
• Pray for fathers, grandfathers and great-grandfathers in our church family, that they might be men who are eager for their children and grandchildren to be brought up ‘in the training and instruction of the Lord’ (Ephesians 6:4 CSB17)

Core Commitment 

Each week, we also pray through one of our church’s core commitments. This week’s core commitment is to a training for gospel ministry.

By grace, we are committed to By grace, we are committed to declare to the world that Jesus Christ is Lord through a gospel-minded love and concern for our neighbours in our local community.

Pray that we would be outward-looking, and that we would be concerned to love our neighbours.
