Prayer Focus

Each week we focus our church family prayers on a topic or theme. This week, our prayer focus is for teachers and educators

‘After three days they found [Jesus] in the temple, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions.’ (Luke 2:46 ESV)

• Thank the Lord for those who teach, for their commitment and passion for their work 
• Pray for teachers and lecturers to have wisdom and clarity as they teach, and a genuine love for those in their care, and for their students to have a love of learning and openness to new ideas
• Thank the Lord that all truth and wisdom belongs to Him, and pray that we would all recognise Him as we study the world He has created, sustained and redeemed through Jesus. 

Core Commitment 

Each week, we also pray through one of our church’s core commitments. This week’s core commitment is to gathering together for worship.

‘By grace, we are committed to grow together in Jesus  by gathering together regularly as a body of believers for worship’ (see Hebrews 10:24-25)

Thank the Lord that we are able to gather again for worship without restrictions, and pray that we would truly value the times we are able to gather together to worship Jesus.
