Prayer Focus: ‘For Those Who Are Lonely’ (4 Jul 2021)

Each week we focus our church family prayers on a topic or theme. This week, our prayer focus is for those who are lonely.

‘For my father and my mother have forsaken me, but the LORD will take me in.’ (Psalm 27:10 ESV)

  • Thank the LORD for his constant, faithful presence with his people
  • Pray for those who feel lonely through bereavement, relationship breakdown, or from being housebound, that they would know the LORD’s comforting presence and love for them
  • Pray that we would sacrificially serve and love our brothers and sisters in Christ who are lonely, so they might know God’s love for them through his people

Core Commitment: Each week, we also pray through one of our church’s core commitments. This week’s core commitment is to an evangelical and reformed understanding of the Bible.

By grace, we are committed to learn about Jesus through an evangelical and reformed understanding of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, as presented in Scripture. (see Romans 1:16-17)

Please pray that we would never be tempted to add to what the Bible says, or to what Jesus has done for us
