Prayer Focus: ‘Indigenous Australians’ (18 Jul 2021)

Each week we focus our church family prayers on a topic or theme. This week, our prayer focus is for indigenous Australians .

‘All the nations you have made shall come and worship before you, O Lord, and shall glorify your name.’ (Psalm 86:9 ESV)

  • Thank the LORD for the steps that have been taken towards reconciliation and healing, and ask that believers from indigenous and non-indigenous backgrounds would be models of love, forgiveness, humility, and unity to our nation.
  • Pray for indigenous gospel ministries like AIM, that many indigenous people may come to know Jesus as their Lord and Saviour, and be united with us as one people in Him.
  • Pray for the Lord to raise up community leaders who know Christ, and can lead with grace, speak the truth in love, seek justice with mercy, and care for those who are disadvantaged.

Core Commitment

Each week, we also pray through one of our church’s core commitments. This week’s core commitment is to gathering together regularly to worship Jesus.

By grace, we are committed to grow together in Jesus
through regularly gathering together as a body of believers for worship
(see Hebrews 10:24-25)

Please pray for our church family, that we would be eager to gather, and that we would be able to work within the current limitations.
