Prayer Focus: ‘Love for One-Another’ (7 Nov 2021)

Each week we focus our church family prayers on a topic or theme. This week, our prayer focus is for love for one-another.

‘A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”’ (John 13:34–35 ESV)

  • Thank the LORD that the gospel has laid new foundations of grace and love for our personal relationships.
  • Ask the LORD to help us love one-another deeply in word and deed, especially when we might disagree or when we are hard to love.
  • Ask the LORD that our love for one-another would be inspiring and attractive to the world around us, that they might seek Christ because of the love they see in us for each other.

Core Commitment

Each week, we also pray through one of our church’s core commitments. This week’s core commitment is to an evangelical and reformed understanding of the gospel.

By grace, we are committed to learn about Jesus through an evangelical and reformed understanding of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, as presented in Scripture.
(see Romans 1:16-17)

Please pray that we would always take the Bible and the gospel seriously, and that we would never be tempted to add to or take away from either.
