Each week we focus our church family prayers on a topic or theme. This week, our prayer focus is for our government leaders.

‘First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.’ (1 Timothy 2:1–4 ESV)

• Thank the LORD for our leaders in local, state and federal government, and for the freedom we enjoy to proclaim Christ.
• Ask that all who serve in public life may seek truth, justice, peace, and the wellbeing of all, and that they may be delivered from unwise counsel, corruption, and the temptation to serve themselves.
• Thank God for those in government office who are disciples of the Lord Jesus, and pray for their continued courage, perseverance and protection as they serve .

Core Commitment 

Each week, we also pray through one of our church’s core commitments. This week’s core commitment is to proclaim Christ.

By grace, we are committed to learn about Jesus
through clearly and understably presenting the Lord Jesus Christ
as the fulfillment of all Scripture and the only sacrifice for our sin .

Please pray that we would always have the courage and to proclaim the Lord Jesus Christ.
