Each week we focus our worship service and Grace Community Group prayers on a topic or theme. This week, our prayer focus is for Sunshine Coast Christian Students (AFES @ USC).

‘…but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect’ (1 Peter 3:15 ESV)

• Thank the Lord for the opportunities they’ve had to interact with non-Christians on campus during Mission Week
• Pray that the planned events would attract unbelievers, and that the gospel would be clearly heard and responded to
• Pray for the students involved, to have confidence in the gospel
• Pray that SCCS would have their funding needs met, despite a COVID-related downturn

Each week, we also pray through one of the core commitments from our church vision statement. This week’s commitment is to regular expository preaching.

By grace, we are committed to learn about Jesus
through the regular expository preaching and teaching of the Bible.
(2 Timothy 4:2)

Please pray for our preachers to approach God’s Word humbly, and not shy away from the difficult passages in the Bible; to rely on God to speak in his Word
