Prayer Focus Each week we focus our worship service and Grace Community Group prayers on a topic or theme. This week, our prayer focus is for those suffering or distressed.
‘In my distress I called upon the LORD; to my God I cried for help. From his temple he heard my voice, and my cry to him reached his ears.’ (Psalm 18:6 ESV)
- Thank the LORD that he does hear our prayers, and that nothing that happens outside of his good purposes
- Pray for those who suffering or distressed in body, mind or circumstances, that the Lord would deliver them according to their needs, and bring a blessed end to their troubles
- Pray that suffering and distress might cause us to look to the Lord for rest, peace, and security in this life and the life to come
Core Commitment Each week, we also pray through one of our church’s core commitments. This week’s core commitment is to presbyterian church leadership.
By grace, we are committed to grow together in Jesus
through the practice of a presbyterian form of church government,
as defined in the Westminster Confession of Faith and in the WPC book of church order.
(see 1 Peter 5:1-3, 1 Thessalonians 2:15)
Please pray for our elders, deacons and other churches in the WPC denomination, that we would lead faithfully for the glory of Christ and the good of his church.
