Each week we focus our church family prayers on a topic or theme. This week, our prayer focus is for the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Australia.

‘Finally, brothers, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may speed ahead and be honoured, as happened among you,’ (2 Thessalonians 3:1 ESV)

• Thank the Lord for the faithful gospel ministry of WPC over the last 50 years.
• Pray for the Lord to raise up faithful gospel workers to continue the ministry of WPC across Australia
• Pray for the church family of WPC Morayfield, who have recently agreed to dissolve and commit instead to other local churches in the Moreton Bay area, giving thanks for their ministry , and asking that they would be a blessing to the churches they join
• Give thanks for Rev. David Smith at WPC Redbank Plains, who will shortly be retiring. Pray also for a suitable minister to continue serving the gospel there. 

Core Commitment 

Each week, we also pray through one of our church’s core commitments. This week’s core commitment is to sharing the good news of the gospel.

‘By grace, we are committed to declare to the world that Jesus Christ is Lord through sharing the good news that God’s Son, Jesus Christ, gave up his life for the sins of the world, and rose from death to rule God’s Kingdom forever.’ (see Ephesians 4:11-13)

Ask God to give us the courage and the wisdom to share the good news of the gospel with those we meet.
